Sheridan Fulmer Library will host three separate tutorials this month to help patrons become better acquainted with a variety of devices that we use in our daily lives.
All three tutorials will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the library's Inner Circle, and are open free to the public.
The first tutorial will be to introduce the basics of smartphones and tablets and will be on Jan. 9. Topics of discussion will include connecting to Wi-Fi, checking email and navigating Library apps. Library staff will be available after the formal presentation to answer individual questions.
On Jan. 16, a program will be presented on pressure cookers. The event will include a demonstration on how to use an electric pressure cooker and a look at the many uses of this increasingly common household item.
The final program will be on Jan. 23 on Silhouette and Cricut cutting machines. The presentation will include the many uses of these machines, the differences in the two types of software and a demonstration of a simple craft.
